It was time to confront Hardin. We marched in. Hardin didn’t regret anything, except getting caught.”I was frustrated,” he downright admitted. “15 years for that wretched firm and – nothing. Being my own boss was nice and – boring. When this midget Lester appeared and I met his gorgeous sister, I sensed big money coming my way. He was to play the role of a flashy alien guy, upsetting some villages and a lousy sheriff in the middle of nowhere. I counted on the press being called in. This media hype would then carry on to Vegas, pushing the show publicity. But you and this drunkard scotched that!”

Tony and I looked at each other. This one certainly would face several years of jail. Lavinia and Lester might end up on probation. We left the room.

“Tony, please prepare the paperwork. I want this greedy guy gone ASAP.”

Tony nodded in approval.

I exhaled. “Let’s get out of here, Lisa.”

Dear readers,

Lisa is the main character in C. S. Boyack’s ‘Wild Concept’. She’s a robot who helps Craig Boyack around the writing cabin these days.
